Mindfulness-Based Corporate Programmes

Imagine cultivating healthier, conscious, and compassionate working environments; employees and teams feeling more connected; and nurturing prospects to grow and thrive at work.

Many of us spend most of our waking time at work and yet reserve mindfulness practices for private time. The world of work is characterised by complexity, volatility, uncertainty, pressure to perform and rapid change. Inside workplaces, people feel increasingly anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, disconnected, invisible or burnt out. By cultivating awareness and mindful habits as leaders and individuals, we can infuse a different way of being and relating within our organisations, and better serve our clients and communities.

Increasingly, training, leadership, coaching and wellbeing programmes are weaving in formal and informal mindfulness practices, and organisations are providing 8-week MBSR programmes within the workplace. Some organisations provide mindfulness spaces – physical or virtual – where people can set aside time to meditate individually or collectively during their workday in support of their wellbeing and personal effectiveness.

Research shows some of the benefits of mindfulness in the workplace, leading to flourishing businesses:

  • Increasing creativity
  • Being present and focusing for longer periods of time
  • Responding consciously rather than reacting
  • Creating time to pause, slow down and reflect
  • Making sound decisions, using understanding and insight
  • Improving emotional intelligence – awareness of self and others
  • Enhancing inclusivity and collaboration
  • Improving resilience and bouncing back after challenges
  • Becoming better at listening to others
  • Happier people and teams at work

For those in organisations who would like assistance in creating or offering mindfulness in their workplace, we have teachers and practitioners available to teach MBSR programmes or adapted Mindfulness-Based Interventions tailored to suit the specific corporate needs.
